Stone or mineral wool is well suited for insulating a storey ceiling with an uneven surface. A final layer of well-filled plasterboard ensures the desired wind tightness on the cold side of the garage and improves fire protection. The additional thermal insulation on the underside of the garage ceiling is useful if rooms above this ceiling are heated. On the warm side, the floor must be airtight against the insulated construction.
