Balcony waterproofing

As balconies are permanently exposed to weather influences such as rain and frost,

they must be securely sealed and adequately drained.
Water that accumulates on the balcony due to faulty drainage or penetrates the load-bearing components through a leaky seal can cause considerable damage. However, if the structure is still in good condition, you can counteract heat loss in the building by properly sealing the balcony and laying new floor coverings. The balcony is coated with a liquid sealant that has been specially tested and certified for waterproofing. In this way, the waterproofing remains open to diffusion, i.e. permeable to water vapor, so that any moisture still contained in the substrate can still escape after the renovation. This technique can also be used to reliably seal damp substrates.
